Mozarthaus
Feel the presence of Mozart, get to know the traditions and experience them with your own ears. This combination of Advent market, art and history can only be found in St. Gilgen.
IN THE FORMER COURTHOUSE (Mozarthaus) of St. Gilgen, built in the years 1719-20, you can find an exhibition dedicated to Maria Anna Mozart – called “Nannerl”. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s mother was born in this house on December 25th, 1720, and Mozart’s sister “Nannerl” lived in today’s Mozart House from 1784 to 1801.

House of Culture
Discover the International Musical Instrument Museum in the House of Culture. Incredible, powerful and bizarre Instruments are on display here, ranging from a Thai organ to a royal rattle from Cameroon.
Director Askold zur Eck is happy to explain many of the instruments in more detail and play them for you.

Doll Museum
The Doll Museum for visitors young and old awaits you at the Dorfalm Hut restaurant in St. Wolfgang. It’s an attraction for the entire family.
In 1959, Barbie® was “brought to life” by Ruth Handler. Since then, she has not only delighted millions of children but also numerous collectors all over the world. Enchanting dresses, artistic hairstyles, great make-up. Every collection and every doll have their own special charm.
